Ice ax from Japanese mountaineering equipment manufacturer HOPE. It went out of business in 1980, and the exact year of manufacture is unknown due to lack of information. In addition to the model name Glanz listed in the 1960 catalog, there is also a gimmick that seems to be a combination of multiple ice axes used in place of a ladder. It's fixed by passing a bolt through it (I can't confirm because I only have one, but...), so I guess it's from the 1960s, when Charlet's Mont Blanc was popular.
