Foxfire is an outdoor clothing brand founded in Japan in 1982. The brand's development team, pioneers in fly fishing, embarked on a quest to create a fishing vest they truly wanted to use, based on their experiences in Japan's mountain streams and lakes. The brand's four initial designs became its starting point. The brand's symbol is the "golden spruce," inspired by their experiences in the wilderness of Queen Charlotte Islands, Canada, and is known for its ongoing commitment to crafting products that embrace the themes of "coexistence with nature" and "quiet sports" (enjoying nature in a quiet environment). The brand is known for its proactive approach to material development, including pioneering waterproof jackets using GORE-TEX and outdoor apparel incorporating insect repellent materials, with the aim of creating mountain parkas and rainwear suited to Japan's humid, rainy climate.
