Collection: Six Moon Designs

Six Moon Designs is an ultralight backpack and shelter brand founded in Portland, Oregon, USA in 2002. Founder Ron "Fallingwater" Mauk, a thru-hiker who has completed the Appalachian Trail and Pacific Crest Trail, decided based on his own experiences on long trails that he needed lightweight, practical, and affordable gear. He started the brand based on his homemade gear. The brand name is said to derive from the six waxing and waning moons that occur during long-term hiking. From the early single-wall tent "Europa" to the poncho/shelter "Gatewood Cape," and the lightweight backpacks "Starlite" and "Swift" series, Six Moon Designs has created a number of innovative gear that have led the UL scene. Currently, the company offers a wide range of lightweight equipment for long trails and fastpacking, from tents and tarps to backpacks, ponchos, and accessories. This page features used Six Moon Designs backpacks, shelters, rain ponchos, and other outdoor gear.
