Rawlow Mountain Works is a mountain gear brand launched in Japan in 2015 by two designers with over 20 years of bag experience. Based on the concept of "making things we ourselves would truly like to use," the designers, both hikers and cyclists, develop their products through repeated field testing in the Suzuka Mountains and the Chichibu Mountains. Production takes place in the brand's own factory in Tokyo, where each bag is handcrafted from material selection to patterning and stitching, resulting in a warm and practical design. The brand's appeal lies in its combination of a somewhat old-school design with functional pocket placement and daisy chains suited to modern hiking and bikepacking, as well as durable, high-strength nylon and Spectra fabrics. Representative models include the Bambi backpack, perfect for day hikes and city use; the Antelope, with its larger capacity and suitable for mountain climbing; and the Beetle, a compact daypack.
