The minimalist stand-up collar design, without a hood, eliminates bulk around the neck when layering, making it ideal for more demanding fast-paced activities. The "Wind Barrier Dynamic" fabric used for this jacket blocks wind not through a coating, but through a high-density weave structure. This means the windproof performance is less likely to degrade with long-term use, and it maintains high breathability to efficiently wick away moisture during activity.​
While it has a trim fit (athletic fit) that follows the body's contours, the 4-way stretch of the material does not hinder technical climbing or intense running movements. It's packable into its chest pocket, weighing only 100g. It's the ultimate "windproof layer" that modern speed hikers and runners should always have stashed in their pack.​
