Based on a standard hexagonal tarp, split beaks (small doors) can be attached to both ends to provide extra edge coverage when needed. These doors clip in and deploy with a single guy line, providing edge protection exactly where you need it: high up near the edge of the hammock, where a standard hexagonal tarp offers the least coverage. On nice days, the small doors simply clip in and out of the way until deployed. Once deployed, they protect the hammock from wind and rain blowing in through the edges of the tarp.
