The bottom unit's rigidity is strengthened by inserting a lasting board (shank plate) that covers the midfoot from the toes to the heel. It allows for a flat landing even on uneven surfaces, and supports stable walking even when carrying a heavy load. An exclusive Vibram(R) rubber outsole with a non-slip lug design is placed. An original last tailored to Japanese people is used to enhance comfort.
