Monpe, which were primarily women's work clothes, are very easy to move in, functional, and have a streamlined construction. We have redesigned the Monpe trousers to fit a variety of body types while retaining the good points of the monpe. The distinctive waist of monpe pants is made up of a combination of three types of elastic: flat elastic, shirred elastic, and corded elastic, each with a different tightness. Rather than being tightened by a single elastic band, the loosely joined "surface" of three elastic bands with different functions allows the waist to stretch more, resulting in a comfortable fit for a variety of body types. Among the three types of rubber, "cord rubber" plays a supporting role. If you have a slim waist or if you are carrying heavy luggage in the large pockets of your monpe pants, you can tighten the elastic cord to prevent the pants from slipping down. If you want a looser fit around the waist, you can remove the elastic cord and use it without any problems.
