This product is based on the "Basic Cap," with the same sizing, but the material of the head part has been changed to mesh so that it can be worn comfortably even in summer. The main body design is a basic 6-panel construction. The brim and forehead parts use the same material as the Basic Cap, while only the top four panels of the head part have been changed to mesh material. In contrast to cycle caps, which have a shallow body and a short brim, this cap has a comfortably deep body. The brim is designed to be just the right length to provide sun protection without being overly affected by the wind. When I was developing this product, I tried on several outdoor manufacturer caps, but all of them felt shallow to me. They didn't feel like they were securely covering up to the base of my ears. In windy situations, it was very stressful constantly worrying about the cap blowing off. This is because my own head size (head circumference) is on the larger side, and I am not criticizing those products. This "Basic Cap" was designed to be a cap that I, with my slightly larger head circumference, could wear comfortably and without stress. Therefore, the head circumference is a little more relaxed than general caps. The brim and forehead of the cap are made of Toray's Stunner, a 100% nylon material that is water-repellent, windproof, and permeable. It prevents discomfort from perspiration while protecting against wind and rain, and also has excellent durable water repellency. Despite being a synthetic fiber, it has a natural appearance like a cotton blend, and the coating on the back provides a moderately firm texture. The head part uses a highly durable 100% nylon mesh material, which is also used in stab-proof vests. It is not a soft mesh but has a certain degree of stiffness. It combines both strength and breathability. The sweatband part uses COOLMAX fabric. It is a 100% polyester pique-like material with excellent water absorption, quick-drying properties, and UV cut (UPF 40+) functionality.
