The Diamondback uses our proprietary Constriction-Point Baffle pattern, which uses a series of constrictions within the baffle pattern to isolate the two halves of the quilt. While the baffle walls are the same height, the width of each baffle abruptly merges at the constriction point, dividing one 6-foot-long baffle into two 3-foot-long baffles—one of the shortest effective baffle lengths in the industry. The shorter baffles mean less room for the down to move, reducing the time it takes to fluff and even out the down before use. Down at the top of the quilt stays there, and vice versa. Down can be manually forced through the constrictions, but it will not pass through naturally. This means you can control the distribution of down between the lower and upper chambers as needed. Because the upper and lower chambers are filled independently of each other, the overfill can be placed in either the upper or lower chamber, or split evenly between the upper and lower chambers.
