The Arc Slim is a smaller, slimmer version of the Arc Blast, designed for shorter, faster hikes but still comfortable thanks to the patent-pending Flexed Arc Frame System. The capacity is the same as the 45L Arc Blast, excluding the pockets. The mesh center pocket and side water bottle pockets are optional. The ultra-lightweight Flex-Arc carbon fiber frame keeps the pack stiff and distributes most of the weight over your hips instead of your shoulders, and frame parts and mesh back panel are easily removable and replaceable. The frame is curved to prevent the contents of the pack from hitting your back while still allowing for ventilation. You can adjust the degree of curvature by tensioning the mesh back panel. The recommended arch is about 6cm, but adjust it to your preference. The frame has two horizontal support bars for added stability. The roll-top closure (similar to a dry bag) keeps water out and the top can be rolled down when the load is light. All seams and connections are securely secured with waterproof tape. Comfortably padded shoulder straps and a padded belt that are 3/8" thick and 2.5" wide. The straps and belt have daisy chains to clip on small items, and it also comes with an adjustable sternum strap. To keep it light and sleek, it doesn't have any pockets by default, but you can add a pocket at the bottom if you like. Side compression straps are made from non-stretch Dyneema cord to compress the volume of the pack. - Elastic shock cord lets you secure items to the outside of the pack. A removable webbing top strap lets you secure additional items to the top of the pack. It features a central hydration port, a drinking tube that can be worn over either shoulder, and a water bladder that can be hung from the internal hanging loop or placed horizontally on top of your gear. The 2,100 cubic inch / 35L volume is plenty of space for short, fast trips or day hikes with an ultralight gear list.
