Klymit, the company that releases sleeping pads that defy conventional wisdom, has created the lightest sleeping mat that can be used even in winter, weighing just 279g, by incorporating Primaloft Gold 60g/m2 as insulation. Normally, a mat is placed under a sleeping bag. Even if you use a sleeping bag designed for extreme winter conditions, the bottom of the bag will collapse under your own weight. Until now, in order to prevent the cold air from the ground from reaching your body, you needed to use a highly insulating mat weighing around 500g. When you put this mat inside your sleeping bag, the sleeping bag expands and fits into the holes (loft pockets) placed in various places.
