"Super Merino Wool" is made from carefully selected 18.5 micron "multi-crimp wool" which is produced in very small quantities. The fibers have a large crimp, which gives them excellent stretchability, and when woven into fabric, they contain a lot of dead air (still air that acts as an insulator), which creates exceptional warmth. In addition, the fiber length is approximately 15% longer than regular merino wool, resulting in a comfortable, less itchy feel against the skin.
